Sichuan Nature Reserves and Research Centers
As Sichuan is home to most of the world's Giant Panda population, it should not be surprising that the worlds more famous Giant Panda sanctuaries and research centers are located here as well. Sichuan currently has over 15 reserves, research centers and sanctuaries dedicated to the preservation of China's iconic Giant Panda and other endangered species. Any trip to Sichuan is not complete unless it includes a day to visit these cute bears that are famous throughout the world. |

Sichuan Cuisine
Almost every country in the world knows what Chinese food is and this is not surprising considering the length of China's history. Signature Dishes (sometimes written as Szechuan or Szechwan in the US) in Chinese culture is listed under the Eight Great Traditions of Chinese Cooking; the others are: Anhui, Cantonese, Fujian, Hunan, Jiangsu, Shandong, and Zhejiang cuisine. |

Nature
Paomashan Mountain translated literally means Horserace Mountain. Paomashan Mountain gets its name from the annual horse races that made the mountain famous back in the early 20th century. Located just south of Kangding city, Paomashan Mountain currently is a giant public park, which hosts a range of minority festivals throughout the year and has quite a few noteworthy sites to see. Paomashan Mountain has the Wuse Lake, the Yongxue Tower, the Jixing Temple, as well as a few scattered pavilions. |
